Adam is a Partner at McMillan LLP and an experienced litigator. Adam is a Group Head of the firm’s Complex Disputes and Regulatory Regimes Group. His legal experience is paired with industry expertise ranging from traditional financial sectors to those involving modern digital assets. Adam teaches Securities Litigation at Queen’s University and is a former member of the Ontario Securities Commission’s Securities Proceedings Advisory Committee. His media appearances have included television appearances on CBC and BNN and quotes in Canadian national newspapers the Globe and Mail and Financial Post. Adam’s securities litigation matters have ranged beyond Canada’s borders and he assists clients as far away as Cyprus, Australia and Israel. Adam’s litigation practice focuses on complex disputes in the capital markets, administrative law and intellectual property. He has led teams on cases recognized as top matters in Canada, including Canada’s most prominent securities fraud case and opposing a go-private transaction regarding Canada’s oldest retailer. Adam’s other successes include many positive resolutions of corporate investigations as both corporate and independent counsel and leading a successful trial team related to securities blackout periods and corporate director responsibilities.
