Aubin Calvert is litigation counsel at Hunter Litigation Chambers, where she has a wide-ranging litigation practice with specialities in administrative and constitutional law, appellate advocacy, and conflict of laws. Alongside her litigation work, she lectures in the area of conflict of laws, and has served as an adjunct professor at the Peter A. Allard School of Law for four years. She is the 2024 recipient of the Adam Albright Award for teaching excellence by an adjunct professor.

Before joining the firm, Ms. Calvert clerked for Chief Justice Richard Wagner at the Supreme Court of Canada from 2016 to 2018.

She is an active member of the British Columbia Law Institute and the Supreme Court Advocacy Institute, where she has served as session coordinator for British Columbia since 2021. She previously chaired the Canadian Bar Association’s BC Appellate Advocacy Section and regularly contributes to continuing legal education and professional development programs. Her presentations address a wide range of topics including appellate procedure, administrative and constitutional law, and private international law.

Ms. Calvert is co-author of two chapters in the British Columbia Administrative Law Practice Manual published by CLEBC: “Remedies on Judicial Review and Statutory Appeals” and “Costs on Judicial Review and Statutory Appeals.”

Aubin has been recognized in Best Lawyers® Canada: Ones to Watch and named a “Future Star” by Benchmark Litigation.
