Laura is a commercial litigation partner at the Vancouver office of Lawson Lundell. Laura is leader of the firm’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution Group in Vancouver and Kelowna. She has appeared as both trial and appellate counsel, including before all levels of court in British Columbia, the Alberta Court of King’s Bench, and the Supreme Court of Canada, as well as before various administrative tribunals. 

Laura provides practical and strategic advice to help clients find solutions to a broad range of business disputes. Laura advises clients in the gaming industry, the banking and securities industries and in the area of pensions and benefits. She has particular experience acting in litigation involving occupiers’ liability claims, insurance matters, franchise disputes, complex securities actions, civil fraud claims, shareholder’s disputes and oppression remedies and professional negligence claims. Laura is also litigation counsel to pension and benefit trusts. 

In her community, Laura is director of ShEvalesco, a non-profit association dedicated to empowering female-identified youth with knowledge, strategies and tools to confidently navigate life after secondary and post-secondary education. 

Laura completed her Bachelor of Arts at Queen’s University in 2005 and Bachelor of Laws at the University of Ottawa in 2008. She was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2009. Laura and her husband are raising two delightful young children in Vancouver.
