Lori Mince is a partner in the Litigation Section. She practices in the area of commercial litigation, media law, and tax litigation.
In her commercial litigation practice, Lori has represented clients in a variety of matters, including class actions and commercial disputes involving The Lemoine Company, Wallace Drennan, Inc., Rouses, H&E Equipment Services, Inc., Stirling Properties, T.L. James, and SMG (the company managing the Louisiana Superdome and New Orleans Arena). Lori also regularly represents executives in employment disputes with their former employers over compensation and restrictive covenants. Finally, Lori represents the Louisiana Department of Revenue in a variety of state corporate income and franchise tax suits.
In her media law practice, Lori has represented the Associated Press, The New York Times, Viacom, ProPublica, Louisiana Television Broadcasting, LLC d/b/a WBRZ-TV, Wick Communications, The Nation Institute and others. Lori has handled dozens of matters brought under the First Amendment and the Public Records Act seeking access to proceedings and records on subjects ranging from police misconduct to corruption in government contracting to LSU’s search for a new President. She also regularly defends media clients in defamation actions and disputes involving intellectual property rights.
Lori serves as the Group Vice Chair of the Litigation and Ethics Group of the ABA’s Real Property Section. She also sits on the Board of Trustees of the St. George’s School Endowment.
