Since being called to the bar in 2002, Nathalie Baker has developed and maintained a private practice focused almost exclusively on municipal law issues. Over the course of her career, she has represented landowners, developers, citizens groups, and business owners in their interactions and disputes with numerous local governments and regional districts across British Columbia. She has also represented elected members of city council in connection with censorship or other disciplinary steps taken by council.
Through her work Nathalie has appeared as counsel before various administrative tribunals on a wide range of municipal matters and frequently appears before both the Supreme Court of British Columbia and the Court of Appeal for British Columbia.
In addition to managing her busy municipal practice, Nathalie has long contributed her time to various voluntary efforts including the Francophone Telephone Clinic through Access Pro Bono. She is also a long-standing contributing author to the Continuing Legal Education Society of British Columbia (CLEBC) Real Estate Development Practice Manual and has been a guest speaker at a number of CLEBC conferences.
Before joining Eyford Partners LLP, Nathalie practiced for over 14 years with her father, Jonathan Baker, a former Vancouver City Councillor and well-respected municipal lawyer.
