Nicole Gilewicz is litigation counsel at Hunter Litigation Chambers with a broad practice encompassing administrative and public law, criminal and regulatory proceedings, and civil litigation, including complex trial matters. She regularly appears before various administrative tribunals and decision-makers and at all levels of court in British Columbia. Nicole acts for both private and public sector clients, often in matters involving overlapping legal regimes or concurrent proceedings. She is recognized in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in Canada for her work in Administrative and Public Law.

Nicole joined Hunter Litigation Chambers in Vancouver following her clerkship with Justice Donald J. Rennie at the Federal Court of Appeal. She articled at a leading international law firm in Vancouver before being called to the British Columbia bar in 2016. Nicole holds a Juris Doctor from the University of British Columbia, where she was involved in the UBC Innocence Project and interned with the Provincial Court of British Columbia.

Nicole has co-authored the chapter on “Civil Procedure – Court Rules” in the CLEBC Annual Review of Law & Practice since 2017 and has previously published as co-author on property and expropriation law. In addition to her legal practice, Nicole is deeply committed to community service. She serves on the board of Mission Possible, a non-profit supporting individuals in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, and has volunteered with organizations including the Law Students’ Legal Advice Program, Habitat for Humanity, Ronald McDonald House, and the Canadian Cancer Society.
