Rebecca J. Robb is litigation counsel at Hunter Litigation Chambers. She practices civil, administrative, regulatory and criminal law, and has appeared before all levels of the Courts of British Columbia, the Federal Court of Appeal and various administrative tribunals. Rebecca was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2014 after completing her clerkship with the Supreme Court of British Columbia and her articles with Hunter Litigation Chambers. In 2012 she obtained her J.D. at the University of Ottawa and her M.A. in International Affairs at Carleton University.

  • Conseil scolaire francophone de la Colombie-Britannique v. British Columbia, 2025 BCSC 962 – this 117-day trial concerned whether the Province was taking sufficient steps to implement s. 23 of the Charter. Rebecca also argued various applications in this action, including on issues of privilege and the right of a witness to an interpreter.
  • Canadian Western Bank v. John Doe, 2024 BCSC 555 – this was an application to set aside a property preservation order. The Court ordered the exceptional remedy of a damages inquiry in addition to special costs.
  • Minchin v. Movsessian, 2023 BCSC 144 –Rebecca defended the Province, the City of Delta and a police officer on the issue of whether use of force was justified.
  • Pieter Kiewit Sons ULC was charged with criminal negligence causing death. In 2021, on the eve of trial, charges were stayed by the Crown on the basis the evidence no longer satisfied the charge assessment standard.
  • R. v. Greater Vancouver Water District – In 2021, Rebecca defended a regional municipal entity against charges brought under the Fisheries Act.
