Tyler G. “Ty” Doyle always puts his clients first. Mr. Doyle has a general civil litigation and appellate practice representing both plaintiffs and defendants. In recent years, his practice has focused on commercial litigation and intellectual property disputes in the healthcare, oil and gas, and financial services industries.
Mr. Doyle received his A.B., magna cum laude, from Princeton University in 2002, where he graduated in three years. He received his J.D. from Stanford Law School in 2005, where he was an Executive Editor of the Stanford Law Review and served on the Executive Board of the Stanford Journal of International Law. He also graduated with Pro Bono Distinction, based on the number of hours of free legal services he provided while attending law school, and was awarded the James W. Lyons Award for exceptional contributions to the Stanford community. An active alum, he was a member of Stanford Law’s Board of Visitors from 2012-15 and currently serves on the board of the Princeton Alumni Association of Houston.
Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Doyle served as a law clerk for the Honorable Edith H. Jones, Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. An avid writer, he has published law-related articles in Slate, Newsweek.com, and The Huffington Post, and has been quoted on legal issues in media outlets across the country. Mr. Doyle was named to Benchmark’s national “40 & Under List” in 2019 and 2021, was named a Texas Super Lawyer in 2021 and 2022, was recognized as a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers from 2013-2020 (including being named a Texas Top 100 Up-and-Coming Lawyer in 2020), and has been an H-Texas “Top Houston Attorney” every year since 2016.
Mr. Doyle is licensed to practice in all state courts and federal district courts in Texas, New York, California, Arizona, and the District of Columbia, as well as several additional federal district and appellate courts.
