Wes McMillan is an experienced commercial litigator with over 15 years of experience at the trial and appeal courts. He has appeared as lead counsel at the Supreme Court of Canada five times on diverse issues such as pre-incorporation contracts, unconscionability and religious freedom.
While Wes maintains a general commercial litigation practice, he has particular experience in real estate litigation. Utilizing his knowledge of the intricacies of real estate law, he takes great pride in developing a strategy to put one in the best possible position before litigation arises, and in finding creative arguments when litigation is necessary.
He is a regular contributor to continuing legal education courses, particularly in the area of real estate litigation, and the author of a chapter in the British Columbia Civil Trial Handbook.
Prior to starting Allen/McMillan Litigation Counsel in 2018, Wes was associate counsel at a leading commercial litigation boutique in Vancouver.
