Gustavo is a multidisciplinary lawyer that handles complex administrative disputes in his litigation practice. Among other cases, Gustavo was instrumental in the litigation concerning mobile carrier tariff disputes, railroad trackage rights and wealth management regulations. He has also defended toll road concessionaires in the context of regulatory takings as well as right of way invasions. Although Gustavo does not handle commercial litigation directly, he has helped design and implement multi-team strategies that have a strong component of civil litigation. His practice also includes substantial transactional advice, including mergers and acquisitions, structured finance and derivatives. Gustavo is a founding partner of the Firm and before that he was a local partner for a New York international law firm. He holds an LL.B. from the Escuela Libre de Derecho in Mexico, where he was class valedictorian, an LL.M. from Harvard Law School and has been a tenured Professor of Law at the Escuela Libre de Derecho for more than 10 years where he currently teaches Securities.
