Gibson Dunn & Crutcher has hired a new partner in New York.
Matthew Biben joins the firm from Debevoise & Plimpton and will serve as the co-chair of the firm’s financial institutions practice group.
Biben advises his clients on complex and diverse regulatory and enforcement matters with an emphasis on matters regarding financial institutions and situations that involve the state and federal government. Biben also advises boards and senior management on a regular basis on enforcement matters and he routinely handles internal, domestic and international investigations.
He has experience with government agencies, including the Department of Justice (DOJ), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Federal Reserve Board (FRB), Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), New York State Department of Financial Services (NYDFS), State Attorneys General and various foreign regulators.
