CMS has added a new partner to its infrastructure, construction and energy (ICE) disputes team in London.

Catherine Gelder joins the team after leaving newly merged Bran Cave Leighton Paisner (BCLP) earlier this month. She brings with her a wealth of experience, having acted on a number of significant projects in construction notably the 2012 London Olympics developments and the redevelopment of London Bridge Station.

Catherine will be joining Karen Clarke, Philip Duffield and Sarah Grenfell in the firm’s construction team.

Gelder is the third partner to leave BCLP this month following David Robertson, another former partner in the firm’s construction practice, and Rachel Kelly, a structured finance partner.

CMS has been ranked across four European jurisdictions for disputes work including Belgium, Germany, Switzerland and the UK. Areas of ranking for the firm include intellectual property, commercial and transactions and competition/antitrust.
