Jingtian & Gongcheng is expanding its Hong Kong office with the addition of two senior lawyers as partners after its announcement of its merger with L&C Legal forming Jingtian & Gongcheng in Hong Kong.

Both Gary Yin and Ben Yates are joining from Reynolds Porter Chamberlain (RPC). Yin will lead the disputes practice of Jingtian & Gongcheng in Hong Kong.

Yin focuses on dispute resolution with a particular strength in China-related commercial and shipping matters. He also regularly acts for insurance companies and logistic operators in defending liability claims.

Yates was senior consultant at RPC specialising in commercial disputes, with particular focus on cyber law and fintech related matters including bitcoin.

The hire of Yin and Yates brings Jingtian & Gongcheng Hong Kong office’s partner numbers to eight.
