Winston & Strawn has hired a new white collar crime and government investigations partner in Washington DC.

Laura Kidd Cordova joins the firm from Crowell & Moring. She advises individuals and companies in criminal and civil enforcement actions and related complex civil litigation,

She also conducts internal investigations for clients facing government investigations involving the False Claims Act (FCA), the Anti-Kickback Statute (AKS), health care fraud, securities fraud, accounting fraud, insider trading, and government contracting fraud.

Cordova was formerly Assistant Chief in the Fraud Section of the Criminal Division at the U.S. Department of Justice where she led the Corporate Healthcare Fraud Strike Force charged with investigating and prosecuting large, multi-jurisdictional fraud schemes throughout the US.
