Peter L. Roy remains active as counsel to the firm. He is a founding partner of Roy O’Connor and is very experienced in all aspects of civil litigation involving corporate, individual and class proceedings. He has particular expertise in complex corporate commercial and securities litigation, shareholder and derivative actions, Director and Officer Duties and Responsibilities, Oppression Actions, mining and resource litigation, Class Actions and Estate and Trust disputes.
Peter has been recognized by Benchmark Canada as a Benchmark Litigation Star, a National Securities Litigation Star, an Ontario Securities Star, Class Action Litigation Star, one of the Top 50 Trial Lawyers in Canada and last year was presented with the Hall of Fame Award.. Peter is also a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America.
Peter had expanded his practice into Arbitration and Mediation having become a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and completing the Harvard Mediation Course. While maintaining his counsel role with Roy O’Connor LLP; Peter offers his Mediation and Arbitration service through ADR Chambers in Toronto.
