  • Obtained various injunctions in the Singapore High Court to enforce employment restrictive covenants, including one of the longest ever international non-compete injunctions in Singapore (24 months) (Tan Kok Yong Steve v Itochu Singapore Pte Ltd [2018] SGHC 85).    
  • Acted for an AI company against a former employee for breach of confidence / employee duties. Successfully transferred proceedings from the Employment Claims Tribunal to the High Court, in the first reported decision of its kind (Rida Global Pte Ltd v Jonathan Lim Chuan Ren [2023] SGHC 21).    
  • Acted in arbitration, litigation and insolvency proceedings relating to Babel, a multinational cryptocurrency entity (Re Babel Holding Ltd and other matters [2023] SGHC 98; Parastate Labs Inc v Wang Li & Ors [2023] SGHC 48).

Chong Yi Mei, Commercial disputes, yimei@chp.law

  • Ngor Shing Rong Jake v Wong Mei Lee Millie [2025] SGHC 119 – concerning a dispute between former partners over a condominium purchased in a 99:1 legal ownership split, where the claimant argues a beneficial ownership share of ~70% via a resulting trust.
  • Public Prosecutor v Mohamed Amir Khan [2017] SGDC 196, where she secured an acquittal for an accused charged with drug trafficking.
  • Public Prosecutor v P Mageswaran [2017] SGHC 307 (on appeal: [2019] SGCA), a High Court trial and appeal involving an offence of culpable homicide.

 Danny Quah, Commercial disputes, dannyquah@chp.law

  • Represented a Hong Kong businessman in a CAD 110 million conspiracy and fraud dispute against various offshore entities and Singapore-based individuals.
  • Represented Indonesian shareholders of Jurong Aromatics Corp Pte Ltd in a USD 2.4 billion restructuring project, culminating in a significant judgement judgment by a five-member quorum of the Singapore Court of Appeal in (SK Engineering & Construction Co Ltd v Conchubar Aromatics Ltd [2017] SGCA 51).
  • Represented an Indonesian high-net-worth individual in a USD 25 million ICC arbitration, part of a global litigation suit involving a Cayman Island family trust with assets valued at over USD 133 million across Singapore, Switzerland, USA, India and the British Virgin Islands.

Dixon Soh, Intellectual property, dixon@chp.law

  • Advised and designed a complex IP licensing structure for an advanced indoor modular farming business. This enables the company to transform from a starting stage company toward a franchise business.
  • Lead international expert and designer of the (ASEAN) IP Management Clinic project organised by World Intellectual Property Organisation, one of the 15 specialised agencies under the United Nation to deliver IP Strategy for ASEAN companies in the areas of collaboration and growth – Indonesia, Thailand, Brunei and Laos.
  • Advised on trade mark dispute for a family business in Singapore as Lead Mediation Advocate and successfully settled the matter, the first under WIPO ASEAN Mediation Programme.

Kannan Nadarajan, Private client, kannan@chp.law

  • Represented a party in a cross-border divorce that had complex children access arrangements and assets across multiple countries in Europe, China, and Singapore.
  • Represented a father at the Syariah Appeal Board Hearing arguing a novel point of law regarding shared care and control.
  • Represented a foreign mother in a highly acrimonious divorce where the father had deliberately cancelled her Long-Term Visit Pass to deprive her of residence and care of her child.
