Blair Kaminsky represents clients in complex, high stakes commercial litigation and investigatory matters. She is widely respected for her leadership and advocacy in litigation with wide-ranging social and economic impacts. Crain’s New York Business has recognized Blair as a Notable Woman in Law, and her clients have described her to Benchmark Litigation as a “fantastic litigator who provides thoughtful, spot-on advice” and “manages enormous cases with creativity and enthusiasm.” Chambers USA has recognized her for general commercial litigation in New York since 2022, with clients and peers stating she “does a remarkable job in court,” is “absolutely top-notch, smart as a whip and knows exactly what her clients need to resolve cases quickly and effectively.”
Among other notable work, in ongoing, heavily contested multi-forum litigation, Blair represents Chubb on claims brought by major manufacturers, the nation’s largest drug distributors, and its largest pharmacy chains seeking coverage for governmental budgetary impacts arising from the national opioid epidemic. Blair and the HSG team have secured multiple summary judgment, forum, and discovery victories for Chubb, including in the Ninth Circuit and the Delaware Supreme Court. She is also representing Chubb in litigation concerning Mattel’s recalled Rock ‘n Play sleeper and in a dispute with Meta concerning social-media addiction lawsuits. Blair also represents Visa in multi-district class action antitrust litigation filed on behalf of merchants, as well as in opt-out cases brought by the world’s largest retailers, relating to network rules at the heart of the Visa system. The firm will serve as lead trial counsel to Visa against six behemoth retailers in April 2026 in the Southern District of New York.
Blair and her team recently obtained a complete dismissal on behalf of a major tech company in a putative class action under the Video Privacy Protection Act (VPPA), shutting down the claim so effectively that plaintiffs’ counsel agreed to withdraw it voluntarily—prior to the deadline for its motion to dismiss.
Blair has represented elite hedge funds and others in white collar matters as well as other confidential engagements, and has represented high-profile clients in the Delaware Court of Chancery and other business courts across the country. Blair regularly advises and represents clients on shareholder matters, bankruptcy and restructuring, high value partnership and employment disputes, and other matters requiring sophisticated advice and tenacious advocacy.
She is a member of Holwell Shuster & Goldberg’s four-member Management Committee and plays a leadership role in the firm’s marketing and recruiting efforts and was instrumental in the development of HSG’s formal mentoring program.
Blair was previously a litigation associate at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, where she represented JPMorgan in the Lehman Brothers bankruptcy litigation and NYSE Euronext in litigation over a contemplated $10 billion merger that would have created the world’s largest stock market. Blair clerked for the Hon. Judith Rogers of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit.
