Brandon Lewis is a partner at Reid Collins & Tsai LLP. Brandon is a trial attorney whose practice focuses on complex business litigation, where disputes often involve financial frauds, fiduciary breaches, and professional malpractice. He has represented trustees, hedge funds, creditor committees, and others in state and federal courts nationwide. He also has significant experience litigating fraudulent transfers and other insolvency matters in the bankruptcy arena. 


Texas Monthly
has repeatedly named Brandon a “Rising Star” in Business Litigation, and in 2017, Brandon was elected as a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation. Brandon secured one of the ten highest jury verdicts in a contracts case in the State of Texas in 2014, and in 2017, after a two-week jury trial in federal court, Brandon and Bill Reid won an acquittal for a former San Antonio ISD school board member wrongfully accused of public corruption and bribery. 


Notable representations include: 

  • Representation of the trustee of the New York law firm Dreier LLP in recovering millions of dollars of fraudulent conveyances made with proceeds of a Ponzi scheme. 
  • Representation of the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors of the Millennium Multiple Employer Welfare Benefit Plan, a purported section 419A(f)(6) plan with approximately $112 million in assets that the IRS has declared to be an abusive tax shelter. See Aviva Life and Annuity Co. v. White (In re Millennium Multiple Employer Welfare Benefit Plan), 772 F.3d 634 (10th Cir. 2014). 
  • Representation of the trustee of the post-confirmation litigation trust for Neogenix Oncology, Inc. in prosecuting claims for breach of fiduciary duty and legal malpractice arising from the failure of a publicly reporting biotechnology company. See Neogenix Oncology, Inc. v. Gordon, 133 F. Supp. 3d 539 (E.D.N.Y. 2015). 
  • Representation of the former officers and directors of a public company in successfully defeating claims by a post-confirmation trustee for alleged breaches of fiduciary duty. 
  • Representation of Petroleum Wholesale, LP, a full-service gasoline distributor with operations in nine states, in connection with a two-week jury trial regarding an alleged breach of a fuel supply agreement. The jury awarded all the damages and attorney’s fees sought by Petroleum Wholesale, and it awarded nothing to the defendants on their $10 million breach of contract counterclaim. 
  • Representation of the Chapter 7 trustee of a defunct real estate developer with nationwide operations in investigating and prosecuting over one hundred million dollars in claims for breach of fiduciary duty, fraudulent transfer, and alter ego.
