Ms. Siyuan Liu specializes in security compliance, securities litigation, administrative investigation, commercial litigation and arbitration.
 
Ms. Liu has extensive experience in handling complex and high-stake cases against listed companies, senior executives, financial institutions and intermediaries before the CSRC, self-regulatory associations, and all levels of courts nationwide, covering insider trading, information disclosure violations, fraudulent listings, and securities market manipulations, etc. She has also advised client in securities compliance project.
 
She was recommended by Benchmark Litigation in government and regulatory area of China and Asia-Pacific band in 2021 and 2022; by Benchmark Litigation in international arbitration of China band in 2022; by Chambers Greater China Region Guide 2023 in Securities Litigation; ranked as first-tier lawyer in securities compliance and litigation area by DAWKINS in 2022; recommended in compliance area by LegalBand for 5 years continuously. Her representative case CITIC Securities’ impunity case regarding CITADEL's securities margin trading, and Founder Securities' securities-fraud litigation were awarded as the Deals of the Year 2018 and 2019 by China Business Law Journal respectively.

• Ms. Liu represented a security company, which served as sponsor of Leshi non-public offering, in its administrative proceeding before the CSRC. The violation period in the final penalty decision was reduced significantly. She also represented its securities-fraud litigation, with disputed amount exceeding RMB 6 million. It is the first case accepted by the Beijing Financial Court under representative procedure, and the first case in China where investor registration notices were released twice.
• She represented senior executives of Shanghai DZH Limited in their 320 million recourse action, the pioneer case initiated by China Securities Investor Services Center against senior executives. A favorable settlement was obtained in 2023.
• She secured a historic victory for Luckin Coffee in securities-fraud litigation filed by Chinese investors in Chinese courts, where the courts determined not to accept any cases regarding this matter in 2023.
