John‑Paul Alexandrowicz is a partner in BLG’s Toronto office and co‑chair of the firm’s National School Boards Practice. Practising in both English and French, he provides strategic advice and advocacy in labour and employment, education, and human rights matters, appearing regularly before arbitrators, labour boards, human rights tribunals, and the courts. John‑Paul has represented and advised the vast majority of public, Catholic, and francophone school boards in Ontario, as well as a number of independent schools, including in central and local collective bargaining under the School Boards Collective Bargaining Act and in unfair labour practice and unlawful strike proceedings. He is frequently called upon to advise on school board governance and operations and regularly appears before school board trustees to address complex issues.

John-Paul taught industrial relations and labour law at George Brown College and Osgoode Hall Law School, where he was the program director for the Master of Laws in Labour and Employment Law.

He is an elected fellow in The College of Labor and Employment Lawyers.

John-Paul was called to the Ontario Bar in 1999.
