Michael Skene is a Vancouver‑based partner at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP whose practice focuses on construction, infrastructure and commercial disputes. He regularly advises and represents clients in complex litigation, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution proceedings arising from large‑scale construction and infrastructure projects. Michael acts for owners, contractors, consultants and other project participants and has experience across a broad range of disputes, including those involving construction contracts, project delays, cost overruns, deficiencies, professional liability and related commercial issues. He has appeared before the courts in British Columbia and in arbitration proceedings.
Michael is actively involved in construction law knowledge‑sharing and professional engagement through writing, speaking and participation in industry and legal forums, and is a fellow of the Canadian College of Construction Lawyers.
Michael was called to the Bar in British Columbia in 1993, in Saskatchewan in 2019 and in Ontario in 2026.
