Dr. Qiang Ma is currently based at the Beijing headquarters of Jingtian & Gongcheng. With over 20 years of professional experience, he specializes in trademarks, copyrights, anti-unfair competition, and related litigation practices. Having served as a leading intellectual property partner at four prestigious law firms, Dr. Ma works as an IP litigator and consultant, with expertise spanning trademark prosecution, enforcement, litigation, border protection, overseas trademark safeguarding, and the recognition of well-known trademarks. He has represented a multitude of international and domestic clients across diverse industries, including internet, automotive, telecommunications, retail, technology, gaming, apparel, real estate, food and beverages, pharmaceuticals and healthcare, film and media, and education.  
 
Dr. Ma holds several key positions in professional associations: Deputy Director of the Administrative and Judicial Exchange Committee of the China Trademark Association; Deputy Director of the 12th Trademark Law Committee under the Beijing Lawyers Association; and Executive Director of both the Administrative Prosecution and Protection Committee of the Guangdong Trademark Association and the Beijing Intellectual Property Research Society. Additionally, he serves as a part-time master’s supervisor at the KoGuan School of Law, Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU); an extracurricular tutor at the School of Law, University of International Business and Economics (UIBE); a master’s supervisor at the School of Law, Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT); and a specially appointed teaching expert at the School of Law, Shenzhen University (SZU). He is also a member of the Trademark Law Committee of the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI China), the Parallel Trade and Anti-Counterfeiting Team of Marques (the European Trademark Association), and two special research groups of the China Trademark Association (CTA). 
 
Dr. Ma has been invited by the New York Intellectual Property Law Association and the Texas Intellectual Property Law Association to explain China's trademark opposition and dispute resolution systems. He was also invited by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) to present an overview of China's trademark protection system. Dr. Ma frequently moderates and participates in sessions at the annual meetings of the Intellectual Property Owners Association (IPO), the International Trademark Association (INTA), and AIPPI. He serves as a Panelist at the Domain Name Resolution Center of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
