Reed Smith has undertaken a flurry of lateral hires adding two new lawyers in Texas and one in Pennsylvania.
In Dallas the firm has enhanced its labor and employment practice hiring partners Paulo McKeeby and Michael Correll from Morgan Lewis & Bockius. The pair are joined by associate Amanda Brown
McKeeby acts on litigation involving Title VII, the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and the Family and Medical Leave Act. His practice includes handling individual, collective, and class actions in state and federal court, as well as employment cases related to non-competition and trade secret disputes.
Correll acts for employers against claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful discharge. He has litigated FLSA collective actions, including matters involving donning and doffing, exemption misclassification, and independent contractor misclassification. He has also handled a wide range of Americans with Disabilities Act employment and public accommodation claims.
In Philadelphia the firm has rehired Joseph Tuso, who rejoins the firm from a position as General Counsel, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Compliance Officer at Stabilis Capital Management. Tuso originally joined the firm in 2001, becoming partner in 2011.
He joins the financial industry group at the firm and advises on commercial litigation, creditor's rights litigation, workouts, and risk management for banks and other commercial financial institutions.
