Separately, a team led by partner Xu acted for Hongda Research Institute Co in defending a Rmb15 million patent infringement claim brought by German manufacturer Reifenhäuser Technology Center before the Guangzhou Intellectual Property Court; the firm successfully invalidated Reifenhäuser's patent through an extensive prior art search, upon which the court dismissed all claims, breaking the German company's technological monopoly over spunbond nonwoven fabric equipment in the Chinese market.
