Christiaan Jordaan is a Partner in the Commercial Litigation, Construction and Infrastructure and Insurance Practice Groups at Singleton Reynolds.
Clients benefit from Christiaan’s resolute and eloquent advocacy. They also appreciate his creative efforts to resolve legal disputes early on, and without litigation where possible. Christiaan takes on his clients’ causes as his own.
He assists clients to resolve class actions, insurance matters, breach of contract claims, shareholder disputes, directors’ and officers’ liability matters, franchise and dealer disputes, professional negligence allegations, and some employment matters. In the construction space he has successfully dealt with design defect claims for multi-billion-dollar infrastructure projects, judicial review of public procurement decisions, and prompt payment disputes.
Christiaan is a seasoned trial and appellate lawyer. He has appeared at the Supreme Court of Canada, the Ontario and Federal Courts of Appeal, the Superior Court of Justice and Federal Court, in private arbitrations, in construction adjudications, and before the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario.
Prior to joining Singleton Reynolds, Christiaan practiced for eleven years at two leading national law firms, followed by six years at a litigation boutique.
Christiaan is a lifelong cyclist, and he can often be found riding his mountain bike in the Don Valley trail network.
