Dina Kolker has been involved in numerous collective bargaining-related matters, including negotiations, binding and non-binding contract arbitration pursuant to the Taylor Law and related court proceedings. Dina, together with Alan Klinger, is lead counsel to some of New York City’s largest unions in connection with COVID-19 related matters across the spectrum from health and safety to negotiations in light of municipal fiscal challenges. Dina also represents labor clients in the negotiation and structuring of health benefits contracts. Dina represents various unions in defending class action suits in federal court seeking repayment of agency fees in the wake of the Supreme Court’s decision in Janus v. AFSCME. She is co-editor of Stroock’s Public Employee Law Reports bulletins and speaks and writes on the impact of the Janus decision on public sector unions.
Dina is also the hiring partner for Stroock’s New York Summer Associate Program and serves on the firm’s Diversity & Inclusion Council. She rreceived a 2020 Law360 Distinguished Legal Writing Award from The Burton Awards, a nonprofit program associated with the Library of Congress.
