Erin Cutts is a Calgary‑based partner at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP whose practice focuses on construction and surety disputes in Alberta. She advises owners, developers, contractors, subcontractors, design professionals and sureties on all phases of construction projects, from procurement and contract formation through project execution and post‑completion disputes. Erin has extensive experience in the negotiation, mediation, arbitration and litigation of complex construction disputes on significant commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects, including matters involving builders’ liens, tendering and procurement, construction contracts, and the design and construction of hospitals, highways, bridges, railways and other major infrastructure. She also provides front‑end advisory and risk management services throughout the life of construction projects and has experience advising on construction‑related insurance matters, including course‑of‑construction and wrap‑up liability claims.
Erin was called to the Alberta Bar in 2011. She is a former Member‑at‑Large of the Canadian Bar Association’s Construction Section Executive and is active in professional writing and knowledge‑sharing on construction law topics.
