Jill Shore joined DWF Group as a Partner in the firm’s Vancouver office in 2026. She has over 30 years of experience in general litigation, with a practice focused on civil, commercial and insurance matters, including class actions, product liability, professional liability, civil sexual abuse claims, cyber breach claims, insurance coverage, construction and Aboriginal litigation.
Jill acts for insurers, corporations, and public sector clients in complex disputes across a wide range of industries. She has appeared before all levels of court in British Columbia and has extensive experience guiding matters from early strategy through to resolution at mediation, trial, and on appeal. She has also appeared as counsel in the Alberta Court of Kings Bench, and in the Supreme Court of Canada.
Her work includes defending class actions involving allegations of product defects, privacy breaches, structural failures, fires and floods, recalled food and drugs, covid-19, fraudulent insurance products, food borne illnesses, misrepresentation and consumer protection act claims, product mislabelling, and historical abuse. She also brings experience in Aboriginal litigation, including judicial reviews and disputes involving regulatory decisions, resource development, and Indigenous rights and interests. On the cyber and privacy side, in addition to defending cyber breach class actions, she has worked as breach counsel and provides advice to insurers on cyber coverage and policy wordings.
Jill regularly advises insurers on insurance coverage matters and litigates insurance coverage disputes. She acts as coverage and monitoring counsel on complex liability claims and speciality insurance lines, providing practical guidance on defence strategy, allocation, and policy response.
Jill is recognized in Best Lawyers in Canada for Insurance Law.
She is known for her practical, thoughtful approach and for working closely with clients to develop strategies that align with their legal and business objectives.
Outside of her practice, Jill is actively involved in her community and has served on the boards of several non-profit organizations. When not working, she can often be found on the golf course, in the yoga studio, or travelling the world.
