Kylan Kidd, Partner at Burnet, Duckworth & Palmer LLP is a member of the firm’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution group. Her practice focuses on complex commercial and general litigation, with particular strength in energy, construction, securities, and tax disputes. Kylan regularly advises clients on high‑stakes matters involving oil and gas joint ventures, contractual and royalty disputes, alleged breaches of fiduciary duty, misuse of confidential information, and economic and intentional torts.

She has significant experience acting in domestic and international commercial arbitrations, as well as in technically complex construction disputes involving engineering, procurement, and construction issues. Kylan also represents shareholders, directors, and officers in securities‑related litigation, including oppression claims and shareholder disputes.

  • Graham Construction and Engineering LP v. City of Toronto – The City of Toronto contracted with Graham Construction and Engineering LP for the construction of the Ashbridges Waste Water Treatment Plant. During the course of construction, the parties discovered numerous changes to the site condition which resulted in significant changes to the scope of work, including with respect to delays to perform the scope of work.
