Lucinda Wong is a partner at Carbert Waite LLP specializing in employment and immigration litigation.   • Motta v. Davis Wire Industries Ltd., 2019 ABQB 899. Acted as lead counsel in a six‑day wrongful dismissal trial involving allegations of just cause. Successfully obtained judgment in favour of the plaintiff, followed by a favourable costs award, 2020 ABQB 136.

  • Badsha v. Canada, 2022 FC 1634. Successfully overturned an inadmissibility finding under section 34(1)(f) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act relating to alleged membership in a terrorist organization.

  • Shao v. Canada, 2024 FC 281. Litigated a judicial review addressing the legal equivalency of Chinese and Canadian criminal statutes in the context of criminal inadmissibility.

  • Nabacwa v. Canada, 2024 FC 249. Secured restoration of refugee status. Also successfully challenged negative humanitarian and compassionate decisions in Wen, 2023 FC 1127, and Gosh, 2023 FC 390.

  • Kostic v. Alger, 2021 ABCA 31. Represented respondents in an appeal before the Alberta Court of Appeal involving a contempt order in a liquidation proceeding.
