Dylan Snowdon is a partner at Carbert Waite LLP’s Employment Group and an accomplished advocate, mediator, and arbitrator.
His practice is focused on employment and workplace law. He advises employers and employees at all stages of the employment relationship and also conducts and oversees workplace investigations involving allegations of harassment, discrimination, fraud, theft, and other serious misconduct.
In addition to his employment practice, he represents clients in professional liability and negligence matters and in a range of commercial and civil disputes, including fraud and breach of contract claims. He has served as an Independent Supervising Solicitor under an Anton Piller Order, supervising court‑ordered search and seizure processes.
Dylan is also an experienced mediator and arbitrator and regularly assists parties in resolving disputes through mediation, arbitration, and negotiated settlement. Having acted for both employers and employees throughout his career, he brings a practical and balanced approach to dispute resolution, with a focus on efficient and durable outcomes.
Dylan brings significant quasi‑judicial experience to his practice. He was appointed as a Tribunal Member of the Alberta Human Rights Commission in 2025 and to the Employment Insurance Board of Appeal in 2026. He previously served as Vice‑Chair of the City of Calgary Licence and Community Standards Appeal Board.
