Robert Love is a partner in BLG’s Toronto office and the National Leader of the firm’s Product Liability, Auto Industry and Autonomous Vehicles Groups. His civil litigation practice focuses on product liability, aviation and professional liability, with a primarily defence‑oriented practice representing manufacturers, distributors and retailers, as well as advising clients on crisis and risk management. Robert regularly acts as lead counsel before all levels of the trial and appellate courts in Ontario and has extensive experience advising clients in the automotive and connected and autonomous vehicles sectors on product liability, litigation, insurance and regulatory issues.
He is the former Vice Chair of the Product Liability Committee for the International Association of Defense Attorneys and previously held the role of Chair for the Product Liability Committee, Canadian Defence Lawyers’ Association. Bob regularly speaks at conferences and has authored many articles and publications, most recently on CAVs, including MaaS.
Robert was called to the Ontario Bar in 1994.
