Wang Wei is a partner at Jingtian & Gongcheng. He holds an LLB from Southwest University of Political Science and Law and an LLM from Sun Yat-sen University. He has handled nearly a hundred significant cases before the Supreme People’s Court and various high courts, with extensive experience across all Supreme People’s Court circuit courts and the China International Commercial Court. His advocacy is highly praised by clients, and several of his cases have been recognised as precedents by the Supreme People’s Court. Wang specialises in commercial dispute resolution and securities litigation, focusing on corporate, trust, asset management and bond disputes. He has represented clients in numerous high-stakes appeals and retrials before the Supreme People’s Court, successfully overturning adverse rulings in several key cases. In the trust and asset management sector, he advises on disputes involving fund manager liabilities and product redemption. He is particularly noted for his expertise in bond cases, having handled most of the market’s representative matters, including the Wuyang and Huaxin bond cases. He regularly provides counsel to leading securities firms, rating agencies and accounting firms. Wang also contributes to legal scholarship, having led an award-winning key research project for the Securities Association of China and published articles in journals such as the Securities Market Herald.
