Navin is an experienced white collar and general crime defence lead advocate who has defended, and previously acted for the state to prosecute, individuals and corporations in high-profile, complex and contested criminal trials, appeals and plead guilty hearings in Singapore. In several of these cases, Navin has faced Senior Counsel representing the opposing party.
He was previously a Deputy Public Prosecutor/Deputy Senior State Counsel at the Attorney-General’s Chambers, Singapore (“AGC”) for 10 years, where he was also the Deputy Director of the Corruption/Financial Crimes team.
Navin advises corporations and directors on regulatory issues and corporate internal investigations involving Capital Markets Services (CMS) licensing, SGX listing rules compliance, internal fraud and employee misconduct. He also acts in asset recovery cases and defends doctors in Singapore Medical Council disciplinary cases.
