Sarah McEachern is a Vancouver‑based partner at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP with extensive experience in commercial litigation and arbitration. Her practice focuses on resolving complex disputes in the commercial, construction, mining, health and energy sectors. Sarah has expertise in both domestic and international matters and has acted or advised on arbitration proceedings under the rules of the ICC, ICDR, AAA, SCC, HKIAC and BCICAC (now VanIAC). She has experience negotiating commercial agreements with health authorities and resolving related disputes through mediation and arbitration, and has acted for online pharmacies and pharmaceutical development companies in financing and licensing disputes.

Sarah is an experienced arbitrator and was selected as one of 12 arbitrators to sit on the inaugural roster of Arbitration Place’s NextGen Arbitrators. In 2021, the Government of British Columbia appointed her to serve a five‑year term as a roster member of British Columbia’s Bid Protest Mechanism and Dispute Resolution panels established under the New West Partnership Trade Agreement and the Canadian Free Trade Agreement. She writes and presents frequently on arbitration and complex litigation topics and has a working knowledge of French and Spanish.

Sarah is on the Editorial board of the Commercial Litigation and Arbitration Review and is the Director of the Vancouver International Arbitration Centre.

She was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2008.
