Craig brings over 30 years of experience in significant litigation matters at the trial and appellate levels. Craig’s practice has a business focus with an emphasis on effective resolution of complex commercial disputes. Craig represents clients in a wide variety of areas, including professional liability, product liability and other mass torts, contract and real estate disputes. A significant part of Craig’s practice is class actions defense, generally for clients based in the U.S. or Europe. Craig regularly appears before the Superior Courts in British Columbia, and he also has appeared before courts in Ontario and Alberta, among other provinces, as well as in Federal Court and the Supreme Court of Canada. In addition to Benchmark, industry publications including Lexpert and Chambers consistently recognize Craig as leading counsel in the area of Corporate and Commercial Litigation and Dispute Resolution. Craig is a Fellow of the International Society of Barristers, Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and Litigation Counsel of America. A former law clerk at the Supreme Court of Canada for the Right Hon. Beverley McLachlin (then puisne justice), Craig is a frequent speaker and contributor to legal education. He teaches trial advocacy at the UBC Allard School of Law and for many years has lectured on professionalism and ethics in the Inns of Court program for junior barristers.
