He often acts for national and international corporations, as well as financial institutions, dealers and brokers (registrants) in commercial and securities disputes. He acts for clients in a wide variety of civil and statutory proceedings, including general commercial litigation and regulatory investigations.
He has significant trial experience in intellectual property litigation, primarily with respect to trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets.
Daniel also acts for a variety of Indigenous clients, asserting claims related to ancestral rights, land rights, and business disputes arising on Reserve land.
Since the beginning of his career, Daniel has acted for clients across the maritime industry, including container lines, shipowners, managers and operators, both in commercial disputes and in the context of regulatory investigations.
Daniel appears regularly before the Court of Appeal of Québec, the Superior Court of Québec, the Federal Court of Appeal and the Federal Court.
