David is a Partner and is the leader of the Restructuring and Insolvency group.
David is involved in all aspects of insolvency proceedings and reorganizations, including related litigation on behalf of clients. He has represented institutional lenders, debtors, trustees and receivers, shareholders, directors, creditors’ committees, DIP lenders and other stakeholders seeking advice in a wide range of insolvency matters in both formal insolvency proceedings, and out of court scenarios.
With expertise in litigation and finance, David’s practice includes a specialization in advising creditors with respect to restructuring alternatives, enforcement remedies, and intercreditor strategies.
David has led proceedings and appeared in all levels of court in Alberta and Manitoba, and in the British Columbia Supreme Court, the Ontario Superior Court, and the Court of King’s Bench of Saskatchewan. He has been involved in numerous cross-border insolvency matters representing all manner of participants.
David is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Calgary Bar Association, and the Turnaround Management Association.
