Jennifer Pafiti, a dual qualified U.K. solicitor and U.S. attorney, is a Partner and Head of Client Services at Pomerantz. Jennifer divides her time between the Firm’s Los Angeles office and its London office, which she co-manages with Dr. Daniel Summerfield, Pomerantz’s Director of ESG and UK Client Services.

Jennifer played a leading role in the litigation of In re Petrobras Sec. Litig. relating to a multi-billion-dollar kickback and bribery scheme at Brazil’s state-run oil company, Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. (Petrobras), in which Pomerantz was sole Lead Counsel. Working closely with the Lead Plaintiff, the U.K.-based Universities Superannuation Scheme Limited, Jennifer was instrumental in achieving a historic $3 billion settlement for defrauded Petrobras investors.

Among other litigations, Jennifer plays a role in a case against electric vehicle company Faraday Future Intelligent Electric, Inc. related to alleged misrepresentations by the company in the lead-up to its merger via special purpose acquisition company (SPAC). The court has preliminarily approved a $7.5 million settlement on behalf of defrauded investors. Jennifer is on the team suing biotech company Talis Biomedical Corp., whose trading prices plunged a month after its initial public offering when the company failed to secure FDA approval for its flagship testing platform. The court granted class certification in February 2024.

Jennifer spearheads the Firm’s PomTrack® Portfolio Monitoring System. Currently monitoring over $9 trillion of assets, PomTrack® is one of the largest portfolio monitoring systems in the U.S. Jennifer oversees a team of attorneys, forensic economists, damages analysts, paralegals, and professional staff who provide this valuable service for Pomerantz’s global clients.

As the head of the Firm’s institutional investor education initiatives, Jennifer organizes conferences on such topics as diversity in the boardroom, corporate governance in the #MeToo era, and challenges faced by investors regarding unregulated new technology. Guest speakers at her Corporate Governance Roundtables have included the Right Honourable Sir Tony Blair and President Bill Clinton.

Jennifer earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology at Thames Valley University and her law degrees at Thames Valley University (G.D.L.) and the Inns of Court School of Law (L.P.C.) in the U.K.

Jennifer received two “Women, Influence, and Power in Law” awards from Corporate Counsel – one in 2024 and one in 2021. In 2023, Jennifer received the New York Law Journal’s Innovation Award. In 2022, The Enterprise World named Jennifer the “Most Successful Business Leader to Watch.” Among many other accolades, she has been included in the 2024 Lawdragon 500 Global Plaintiff Lawyers list and the 2024 Lawdragon 500 Leading Plaintiff Financial Leaders list.
