Melissa Thng is a Senior Partner in our Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice and Arbitration practice. She is the co-Head of International Trade practice and the Deputy Head of International Arbitration practice. She is also the Singapore-Thailand relationship partner.
Melissa specialises in cross-border, trans-national litigation and arbitration, and she has a particular interest in disputes involving novel or complex issues. Her practice covers a broad range of industry sectors including energy/projects, international trade and commodities, shipping, digital assets, blockchain and technology, aviation and construction. She also advises on sanctions and regulatory issues, as well as trust, commercial fraud, corporate/shareholder disputes, estate and family matters. She regularly appears at all levels of the Singapore Courts and has served as both tribunal and counsel in arbitrations.
An active member of the international arbitration fraternity, Melissa has served on various committees within the SIAC and CIArb over the years, and is a member of the SIAC Users Council. She is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb).
