Sidney is a partner in the firm’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution Group. His strong skills and knowledge in the class action field has earned him recognition from both his clients and fellow members of the class action bar. Sidney has extensive experience defending multijurisdictional, domestic and international class actions, as well as class actions pertaining to allegations of cartel and conspiracy conduct and other alleged anticompetitive conduct. Sidney has appeared before all levels of the Quebec courts, Federal courts and various specialized tribunals. Sidney is also experienced in defending consumer law related class actions, relating to deceptive marketing, false and misleading advertising. He regularly advises clients on Quebec consumer protection legislation and other regulatory matters. Sidney also has an extensive background defending product liability claims. Sidney provides counsel in connection with fire and security products, recreational products, home appliances, construction & industrial machinery, farming equipment, motor vehicles, pharmaceutical products & building materials. Sidney frequently speaks on class actions, general commercial litigation, antitrust and bankruptcy matters.
