Emil Emanuilov joined Kambourov & Partners in 2003. He is a graduate from Sofia University (LLM 1996) and holds an International Practice Diploma in International Arbitration Law.

In 2014, Emil completed a Postgraduate Distance Learning Diploma in International Commercial Arbitration from Queen Mary University of London.

He is listed as an arbitrator in the Arbitration Court with the Bulgarian Football Union and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) and the Sofia Bar Association and the International Bar Association. Emil Emanuilov heads the Litigation, Arbitration & ADR department.

Emil Emanuilov represents clients before Bulgarian courts and in domestic and international arbitration proceedings, covering all types of civil and commercial claims in all areas of business law, including banking and finance, corporate and commercial litigation, unfair competition, energy and project finance disputes, insurance disputes, IP litigation, procedures for recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards, construction and civil engineering.

He is highly experienced in multijurisdictional litigation and international arbitration, securitization of claims, exequatur procedures, etc. Based on his broad experience in all areas of commercial litigation, he provides legal services on regulatory investigations in general covering internal investigations, regulatory investigations, freezing and enforcement actions, asset tracing and recovery, banking fraud, complex commercial fraud, bankruptcy fraud and investigations, copyright infringement, money laundering, forgery, etc. Emil also focuses on alternative dispute resolution.
