Benchmark Canada's inaugural Women in Litigation forum took place on Wednesday, October 18th at the Deloitte building in downtown Toronto. The all-day affair and subsequent cocktail hour was perceived by all in attendance as a rousing success, with speakers addressing a variety of issues facing women litigators in Canada today. One attendee testified, "I really liked the substantive legal issues integrated with women/leadership advice. These were intelligent, candid speakers who addressed addressed relevant topics in a practical way, with helpful day-to-day tips. The event was a well-organized and amazing opportunity for women litigators." Justice Gloria Epstein delivered a keynote speech that was lauded as "interesting, inspiring and motivating," by one attendee. Another raves, "Her speech was a great reflection on where we’ve come in the profession and where we still need to go. She absolutely blew me away!"
