Greenberg Traurig has hired a new litigator in Miami.
Michael Kreitzer, who is ranked in Benchmark Litigation as a Litigation Star, joins the firm from Bilzin Sumberg.
Kreitzer focuses on commercial disputes including contracts, real estate and real property law, business partnerships, and shareholder conflicts, including liability claims brought against directors and officers.
He also advises on construction litigation, commercial real estate development litigation, trademark disputes, and the representation of financial institutions and special servicers.
Recent case highlights include representing real estate developer BCOM in defense of an eminent domain proceeding brought by Miami-Dade County seeking to acquire the Miami Circle, a Tequesta Indian site that dates back hundreds of years; representing Lennar Corporation in a two-week arbitration proceeding related to the sale of 1,219 acres of land in Palm Beach County; and represented Fontainebleau Florida Hotel in more than thirty construction claims related to the $1 billion redevelopment of a Miami Beach hotel.
