Troutman Sanders and Pepper Hamilton announced today that they have agreed to merge to establish Troutman Pepper Hamilton Sanders or Troutman Pepper. The merger becomes effective on April 1 2020. The combined firm will have 23 offices across the country and more than 1000 legal practitioners. Troutman Sanders is ranked in Georgia while Pepper Hamilton is ranked in Pennsylvania in the 2019 edition of IP STARS.
Troutman Sanders also promoted three IP practitioners to partner: Christopher “Rusty” Close, a computer technology patent agent and lawyer based in Atlanta; Craig Crockett, a life sciences patent litigator based in San Francisco; and Nicole Sullivan, a life sciences patent agent and lawyer based in New York.
