Dispute resolution

Covenant Chambers’ dispute resolution offering covers a broad range of practice areas, from commercial and corporate and employment to private client and property. Its lawyers have advocated at all levels of the Singaporean court and are experienced in ADR. In 2022, the firm took on 16 pro bono and 14 low bono matters. The firm is proud of its advanced digital automation to provide a combination of technology-driven legal advisory and solutions for its clients.

Managing director Ee Yang Lee and director Ronald Wong are the key contacts. Wong also leads the firm’s TMT practice.

In a seminal matter, the team successfully acted for a client in a High Court application for a declaration that a procedurally irregular Central Provident Fund (CPF) nomination was legally valid and to restrain the CPF Board from disbursing the CPF funds pending a judgement from the High Court. This was the first time the courts decided that a procedurally irregular CPF nomination could be legally valid.
