The firm is renowned for its handling of contentious IP matters, with a strong focus on fashion and luxury, technology, entertainment and life sciences. It is active in Hong Kong but and across mainland China with its IP agency located in Beijing. It has further strengthened its position in the market by taking over Hung Au Yeung & Partners in January 2020. IP litigation specialist Alan Chiu heads the firm.
The firm continues to act for Hong Kong Karaoke Licensing Alliance in a landmark copyright licensing dispute before the Hong Kong Copyright Tribunal against Hong Kong’s biggest karaoke chain, Neway. Other case highlights include representing Pandora in a case covering trademark infringement, copyright infringement and passing off against a global jewellery e-commerce retailer Glamulet.
