The client is locked in a $50 million battle with its Vietnam joint venture partner which also involves the individual interests of three different entities. The firm is also working for a domestic logistics company in a $6.6 million dispute with an equipment leasing group concerning a lease offer agreement. This matter raises an important legal question about the validity of its offer and will potentially set a precedent for how the court interprets the regulation of validity of offers proposed by different parties in the pre-contractual phase of a deal. The team’s IP prowess was highlighted by its representation of a domestic university in a copyright infringement dispute against a group of researchers.
On the employment side, the team acted for the former CEO of an international school concerning wrongful dismissal. The matter was amicably settled within three weeks and did not necessitate a trial.
