The firm's dispute resolution team includes more than 20 partners, and its practice areas cover corporate and commercial matters, construction and real estate, energy and minerals, among others.
During the research period, on the commercial disputes front, the firm advised on matters including enforcement objection disputes, mineral exploration rights disputes, and trade secret disputes.
In construction engineering and real estate, the team demonstrated their professionalism helping clients resolve cases including disputes over land use rights transfer contracts, construction contract disputes, and housing sale and purchase disputes. For example, the firm represented an arbitration case involving a construction contract dispute between Xi'an Gaokai International Community Construction and Development and Shaanxi Construction Engineering Group No. 8, with a deal value amounting to Rmb197 million ($27 million). The law firm is also handling a complex construction contract dispute for two private companies in Yinchuan, involving multiple parties and a decade-old case with significant financial and legal challenges. The plaintiffs, facing severe financial distress and numerous lawsuits, have been largely unable to pay their suppliers and subcontractors, leading to multiple bankruptcies and lost contacts.
The firm previously represented Hitachi Elevator in a collection case regarding Evergrande Real Estate Group's Rmb600 million ($83 million) overdue commercial acceptances dispute. Evergrande Real Estate Group had long been paying Hitachi Elevator’s equipment and installation fees by electronic commercial acceptances. In 2021, Evergrande's broken capital chain triggered its going bankrupt, and a large number of electronic commercial acceptances issued to Hitachi Elevator by the group's project subsidiaries became overdue. According to Jiaxuan Law Firm, the number of cases under this collection is more than 1,400, involving 14 provinces, with significant impact.
In 2024, the firm recruited two senior lawyers from Dacheng Law Offices’ Xi’an office.
