Case highlights for the dispute resolution department include advising Gard P&I in a case relating to a marine casualty caused by a fire on board a ro-ro ferry. The firm are also acting for Louis Cruises in the Sea Diamond case where the firm is defending the client on civil and penal claims. In another case representing Louis Cruises the firm are defending the client against claims by the Seamen’s Pension Fund.
Case highlights for the maritime department include acting for the owner of a tanker vessel that was boarded by Libyan militia in international waters and ordered to sail to Libya where the tanker was confiscated. The firm is assisting the owner in claims for the losses of the tanker from the confiscation. The firm is also defending the owner of a bulk carrier vessel against claims for loss of earnings.
